🌱 Green Job Demands

In our increasingly sustainability-focused world, the demand for green skills has surged.

These skills are essential for roles that contribute to environmental sustainability. According to The Star, reports have suggested that embracing green activities could inject an estimated RM48.8 trillion into the global GDP by 2050 and create 24 million new jobs worldwide by 2030.

🌱 What Are Green Skills?

Green skills are all about the essential abilities, knowledge, and competencies needed for jobs that help protect our environment.

Green skills include having technical knowledge and expertise in using green technologies in professional settings. But apart from that, green skills also include having environmental knowledge, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, adaptability, an understanding of policies, and green business sense, among others.

These abilities are important in many kinds of roles, and are applicable across companies that aim to adopt sustainable practices or technologies.

💰 Salary Range

According to the latest Global Energy Talent Index (GETI), over 50% of low-carbon energy professionals worldwide secured a pay rise last year. The study surveyed 12,000 energy industry professionals and showed a trend whereby individuals with green skills are growing in demand due to the increasing green skills gap.

Additionally, jobs in sustainability and green technologies generally provide competitive compensation, reflecting the increasing significance of environmental responsibility.
