配合2026年大马旅游年，政府希望能够进一步改善新加坡和柔佛长堤在高峰时段的交通拥堵问题，目标是缩短至70%的时间。内政部表示，政府自2019年以来，通过4个阶段规划的50项举措，如今已完成58%。
