Semua suspek berusia antara 31 dan 51 tahun ditahan hasil operasi dijalankan 5 April lalu dan dipercayai terbabit dalam tiga kes samun bersenjata dan menyamar polis yang berlaku di sekitar Kepong, dekat sini. Ketua Polis Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Fadil Marsus, berkata mengesahkan menerima tiga laporan polis berhubung kes samun itu yang membabitkan mangsa lelaki warga China, wanita warga China dan wanita warga Indonesia berusia 29 hingga 52 tahun. Menurutnya, kejadian berlaku di sekitar kawasan Kepong, di mana dalam kejadian ini, ketiga-tiga rumah mangsa dipecah masuk oleh enam individu tidak dikenali sekitar jam 5.30 pagi hingga 7.30 pagi pada 5 April lalu. Beliau berkata, dalam ketiga-ketiga kejadian ini juga, suspek melarikan tiga kenderaan jenis Toyota Alphard, Rolls Royce dan Bentley serta satu peti besi, wang tunai RM24,200, AS$1,200 dan pelbagai barang kemas serta dua jongkong emas. Beliau berkata demikian pada sidang media di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen (IPK) Kuala Lumpur. Fadil berkata, polis turut merampas dua pucuk pistol, lima kenderaan, wang tunai RM13,056, pelbagai mata wang asing, lapan telefon bimbit dan dua pas keselamatan. Menurutnya, sebanyak 3,250 operasi dijalankan setakat semalam, dengan 50,951 individu diperiksa dan 11,077 pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) ditahan, manakala 506 majikan turut diberkas. civilian infrastructure if the regime does not meet his imminent deadline to agree to a deal and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The US president has warned he will bomb power plants, bridges, oil wells and possibly water desalination plants, which is illegal under international humanitarian law. “I’m not worried about it,” Mr Trump said when asked during a press conference on Monday what he would say to those who allege that striking energy facilities would amount to war crimes. “You know the war crime? The war crime is allowing Iran to have a nuclear weapon,” he added. Asked again about the issue, he described Iran’s leaders as “animals” who had killed tens of thousands of protesters. Mr Trump also said that if it were down to him, he would seize Iran’s oil, but that “unfortunately, the American people would like to see us come home”. He was also asked if attacking those sites would be punishing the civilian population, to which Mr Trump replied: “It’s suffering. They would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom.” Mr Trump appeared at the press conference alongside defence secretary Pete Hegseth, who is being accused of complicity in an “illegal” war on Iran by Yassamin Ansari, a Democrat who said on Monday she will introduce articles of impeachment against him. “Trump is escalating a devastating, illegal war, threatening massive war crimes and targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran. In the last 48 hours alone, the rhetoric has crossed every line. Pete Hegseth is complicit,” Ansari wrote in a post on X. “I’ve called for the 25th Amendment and am introducing Articles of Impeachment against Hegseth,” she added. On Sunday, in an expletive-laden post, Mr Trump set a Tuesday 8pm Washington time (1am Wednesday BST) deadline for Tehran or it would face “Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one”. He wrote on his Truth Social platform: “There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F***in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell.” His post was met with alarm and criticism by US politicians, including from his former ally turned critic, Marjorie Taylor Greene. She wrote on X: “Everyone in his administration that claims to be a Christian needs to fall on their knees and beg forgiveness from God and stop worshipping the President and intervene in Trump’s madness.” She continued: “Trump threatening to bomb power plants and bridges hurts the Iranian people, the very people Trump claimed he was freeing [...] This is not making America great again, this is evil.” Other politicians who criticised Trump’s threats, include the Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer, who said: “He’s threatening possible war crimes and alienating allies. Marwan Khadir, 18, carried out the attack on December 24, using a realistic imitation firearm. He threatened to shoot and kill the employee and assaulted him multiple times after complaining about his order. Khadir, of Malcolm Close, Penge, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday, police confirmed. A video released by police of the incident shows Khadir asking the employee “how many garlic sauces did you put in the bag?”, adding: “I asked you for chips.” Khadir then returned to his home and discovered wrong sauces in the bag, with video showing him pacing around his flat and gesticulating while complaining about the order on the phone. He then returns to the shop and shouts at the employee: “Bossman, come here. “Why you give me four burger sauce? I asked for three garlic and three mayo.” He then asks the worker to open the door of the counter and jumps on it before being pushed back. Khadir then pulls out the imitation firearm, cocks it, and shouts: “I’m going to kill you now, are you mad?” Officers identified Khadir through CCTV and financial tracking, as well as local resident checks between Christmas and New Years’ Day, police said. He was arrested on January 2 by armed police and officers seized the replica gun he used in the attack, as well as fake ammunition. Detective Sergeant Amy Cross, who led the investigation, said: “The tireless work by officers on this case over the Christmas and new year period is further evidence that policing never stops, and their efforts ultimately led to a conviction. “All our thoughts continue to remain with the victim of this terrifying ordeal, something no one should ever have to go through, let alone at their place of work. The strength he has shown since the attack has been remarkable. “On top of this, the courage he demonstrated in coming forward and reporting the assault was incredibly brave. He was then able to subsequently identify the perpetrator, a crucial moment in allowing us to move the investigation forward.” Khadir pleaded guilty at Woolwich Crown Court on January 30 to possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, making threats to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
