I don’t have ‘baggage’, Pejuang man tells Shah Alam voters
23 days ago
PETALING JAYA: Pejuang’s Rafique Rashid Ali says his 20-year law profession sets him apart from the other candidates contesting in Shah Alam.
Rafique said although his three rivals had been involved in politics, he was free of the “baggage” that came with their background.
He stressed that he was committed to serve the people rather than political masters.
“I’m entering politics to directly help the people around me, not to join a particular party or vie for a position,” he said when asked what prompted him to contest in Saturday’s 15th general election (GE15) as a first-time candidate.
