Gombak voters fail to get leave to appeal to reinstate suit against Azmin

PUTRAJAYA - Ten Gombak voters today failed in their bid to obtain leave from the Federal Court to pursue with an appeal to reinstate their lawsuit against Gombak Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali for alleged deceit and breach of fiduciary duty. A three-man panel led by Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Azahar Mohamed dismissed their application. In the court's unanimous decision, Justice Azahar said the legal questions proposed by the voters' lawyer for determination of the Federal Court did not fulfil the threshold requirement of Section 96 of the Courts of Judicature Act 1964.
