'Allocate more funds for women'
KUALA LUMPUR: The government has been urged to set aside an allocation for women in all sectors of the country's socio-economic development in the 2023 Budget, which will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Oct 7.
Professor Dr Dayang Anita Abdul Aziz, who is director of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's (UKM) Tun Fatimah Hashim Women Leadership Centre, said this would underscore the government's commitment towards gender mainstreaming as part of efforts to put women at the centre of the nation's economics.
