Hoe Yean gains wealth of experience from Birmingham debut
16 days ago
KUALA LUMPUR: Khiew Hoe Yean could have enjoyed the perfect end to his Commonwealth Games debut campaign but he just couldn't find the extra push. The 19-year-old had to settle for just one final appearance in Birmingham after running out of gas and fell short in his attempt to make the final of the men's 200m backstroke event. Hoe Yean, who had 2018 Gold Coast five-gold medallist Mitch Larkin of Australia for company, settled for fourth in Heat 3 with 2:02.01s at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre today.
