Kuala Lumpur police chief Azmi Abu Kassim said the firearm was discovered under the driver’s seat when police returned to the scene of the shooting in Salak Selatan.

The man was part of a criminal group that had been active since 2009.

A 40-year-old suspect was shot dead in the shootout and 8 members of a gang arrested.
