The crocodile being pulled onto the riverbank after it was captured. – Photo by SFCKUCHING (May 27): A male crocodile that escaped from the Matang Wildlife Centre on March 11 has been successfully captured by the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) in a river near Ensel Garden in Matang around 12pm today.According to SFC in a Facebook post, the 12-foot crocodile weighing around 300kg was immediately sent to Jong’s Crocodile farm to be rehomed.Ensel Garden, according to SFC, is near to the wildlife centre where two crocodiles escaped from after their enclosure collapsed due to heavy downpour and flash floods in the area.

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's inflation rate is expected to remain moderate this year based on what the economic data indicates for the next few months, said Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli.
The government is, therefore, optimistic the country will be able to meet the inflation target of between 2.8 per cent and 3.3 per cent in 2023, he said.
"We (the government) will continue to focus on scaling up food production capacity at the local community level and on the narrative that cooked meal prices should moderate,” he told the media after launching Invest Fair 2023 here today.

KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today called on all state governments to formulate clear policies and plans to facilitate efforts to upgrade and beautify food courts and stalls in the country.
The prime minister said he had discussed with the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT), the Menteri Besar and the Chief Minister of the respective states for the relevant authorities to come up with a similar policy on the development of food courts and stalls.
