Data sharing crucial to further boost Asean growth

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 — As countries ramp up their economic activities post-Covid-19, the importance of data sharing among Asean countries is seen as greater than ever in order to further boost the trade bloc’s strength in the global economy arena.

BIMB Securities Sdn Bhd non-executive director Dr Nurmalizah Mahzan said a country’s data intelligence and data analytics could help another member country to plan and develop initiatives, especially in crafting more effective and efficient economic policies.
