I sell food to support my 3 sons, says businessman’s ex-wife

KUALA LUMPUR: Emilia Hanafi, the former wife of businessman SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin, told the magistrates’ court here today she had to work part-time selling food and doing home decoration to cover her children’s expenses.
Emilia, 43, said she chose to work part-time because she had to see to her three sons, aged 17, 12 and 10, including sending and fetching them from school.
“I support my children by selling food cooked at home,” she said during examination-in-chief by deputy public prosecutor Nur Aishah Ahmad Zakiuddin at the trial of Faisal, who is charged with voluntarily causing injury to her.
